Our Philosophy

At Little Stars Academy, our mission is to provide a warm, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can thrive both academically and socially. We believe that preschool should be a place where children are excited to arrive each morning, eager to explore, learn, and grow. We are equally committed to ensuring that parents feel confident and reassured knowing their children are in a safe, secure, and stimulating environment.

We are dedicated to fostering a space where children can develop at their own pace, building confidence and a love for learning. We recognize that every child is unique, and we strive to create an atmosphere of kindness, respect, and encouragement, where each child feels valued and supported.

Our program is developmentally appropriate and play-based, built on the understanding that children learn best through meaningful, hands-on experiences. We emphasize age-appropriate activities such as unstructured play, group story time, creative arts, and themed learning opportunities. Through play, exploration, and guided activities, we nurture curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking skills, while also incorporating academic elements to meet the evolving needs of our students and families.

About Miss Jennifer

Jennifer Monroy is the Owner and Director of Little Stars Academy Preschool. From a young age, she has been passionate about working with children and nurturing young minds. She feels fortunate to have transformed that passion into a lifelong career in early childhood education.

Jennifer attended Citrus College, where she completed 24 units in Early Childhood Education, and she is currently continuing her education to earn her bachelor’s degree in the field. She brings over 21 years of experience in the preschool field, including 13 years working for other programs before deciding to establish her own childcare business.

She began with a small family child care license in her home, and within a year, she expanded to a large family child care license, increasing her capacity to serve up to 14 children. The demand for quality childcare quickly filled every available spot, leading to a long waiting list. This overwhelming response from the community, along with her desire to provide a larger, dedicated space for children to learn and grow, inspired her to take the next step—opening Little Stars Academy Preschool.

Today, Jennifer continues to lead with the same dedication, warmth, and commitment that have defined her career, ensuring that every child who walks through the doors of Little Stars Academy feels safe, valued, and inspired to learn.
