Our Philosophy

At Little Stars Academy, our mission is to provide a warm, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can thrive both academically and socially. We believe that preschool should be a place where children are excited to arrive each morning, eager to explore, learn, and grow. We are equally committed to ensuring that parents feel confident and reassured knowing their children are in a safe, secure, and stimulating environment.

We are dedicated to fostering a space where children can develop at their own pace, building confidence and a love for learning. We recognize that every child is unique, and we strive to create an atmosphere of kindness, respect, and encouragement, where each child feels valued and supported.

Our program is developmentally appropriate and play-based, built on the understanding that children learn best through meaningful, hands-on experiences. We emphasize age-appropriate activities such as unstructured play, group story time, creative arts, and themed learning opportunities. Through play, exploration, and guided activities, we nurture curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking skills, while also incorporating academic elements to meet the evolving needs of our students and families.

About Miss Jennifer

Founder & Director

Jennifer is the Founder and Director of Little Stars Academy. With more than 21 years of experience in early childhood education, she has dedicated her career to helping children develop the confidence, curiosity, and foundational skills they need to succeed in school and in life.

Jennifer's journey began as an Assistant Teacher, where she discovered her passion for working with young children. Through dedication and a commitment to excellence, she advanced to become a Lead Teacher, gaining valuable classroom experience and developing a deep understanding of child development and early learning.

Driven by her dream of creating a nurturing environment where every child could thrive, Jennifer opened a licensed family child home day care. As enrollment grew and families continued to place their trust in her program, that small home-based preschool expanded into what is now Little Stars Academy, a fully licensed preschool center dedicated to providing high-quality early childhood education.

Jennifer's passion for education extends beyond the classroom. She holds the California Child Development Master Teacher Permit and has earned two Associate of Science (A.S.) degrees in Child Development and Early Childhood Education, as well as three Associate of Arts (A.A.) degrees in Child and Adolescent Development, Sociology, and Social and Behavioral Science.

Believing that great educators never stop learning, Jennifer is currently attending California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA) to complete her Bachelor of Arts in Child Development.

Jennifer believes children learn best through meaningful relationships, hands-on exploration, and developmentally appropriate experiences. Under her leadership, Little Stars Academy has become a trusted preschool where children build strong academic, social, emotional, and problem-solving skills while developing a lifelong love of learning.

For Jennifer, Little Stars Academy is more than a preschool—it is the realization of a lifelong dream to provide families with a place where every child is valued, encouraged, and inspired to reach their full potential.
